The beautiful county of Varmland is only 3 hours drive from Oslo and Gothenburg. Varmland with its forested hills and crystal clear lakes and rivers is the perfect region for touring and walking. Glaskogen Nature Reserve provides a true wilderness experience with marked trails through rich forest and along scenic lake shores. Flora and fauna is abundant. Beaver and moose can be seen in addition to grouse, cranes, woodpeckers, Jays and ravens. Lynx are occasionally sighted.

Travel to this scenic part of south central Sweden is by either taking a fly drive holiday from most UK regional airports, or by taking an overnight cruise ferry to Holland and then driving leisurely through Germany and Denmark. Regular ferries operate between Germany - Denmark and Sweden.
