The unspoilt River Shannon meanders through beautiful Irish countryside, past historic towns offering the best in Irish hospitality. Hiring a boat on the Shannon is one of the most relaxing holidays on the planet. The Shannon River is three hundred and eighty six kilometers of waterway spanning eleven counties from the north of Ireland in county Fermanagh on the Erne System, to the Shannon estuary in county Kerry in the south west of Ireland.
Lough Erne flows from Belturbet to Belleek and centres on the island town of Enniskillen. Lower Lough Erne lies to the north of Enniskillen and Upper Lough Erne lies south of the town. The Shannon-Erne Waterway joins the Upper Lough and connects the Erne to the River Shannon in Southern Ireland. Great fishing from May until early October on quiet backwaters.
Carrickcraft have a wide selection of excellent cruisers and are based at two locations, Carrick on Shannon and Banagher.
